ยิ่งลักษณ์ ชินวัตร อดีตนายกรัฐมนตรี โพสต์ข้อความในเฟซบุ๊กส่วนตัว ระบุว่า ดิฉันขอแสดงความยินดีและความปรารถนาดีอย่างจริงใจเป็นการส่วนตัวในฐานะผู้หญิงด้วยกันไปยังรองประธานาธิบดี กมลา แฮริส (Kamala Harris) ที่ท่านได้สร้างประวัติศาสตร์ในการฝ่ากำแพงอุปสรรคต่างๆจนได้มาเป็นรองประธานาธิบดีหญิงคนแรกของสหรัฐอเมริกา ซึ่งเป็นที่แน่นอนว่าท่านจะเป็นสิ่งที่สร้างแรงบันดาลใจให้กับอนุชนรุ่นหลังๆต่อไปในอนาคต
